New Member of Staff

I'm delighted to inform you of a new member of the Pro Shop Team here at Ringway Golf Club. 

Sam Mellor will be taking up the position of PGA Teaching Professional at our club. Growing up in a historic golfing community, Lytham St Annes, Sam has been a keen golfer from an early age. 

Whilst studying for his PGA degree he was the Assistant Professional at Herons Reach Golf Resort, holding the titles of Junior and Men's club champion. It was here he took the lead with junior golf development and growing the game within local schools.

He then moved to Trafford Golf Centre teaching juniors, ladies and corporate clients. Last year he worked for six months caddying and coaching on the European Tour gaining experience of tour life and the excitement and pressures of playing sport at the highest level. 

Sam is passionate about fitness and feels this is a crucial element of the golf swing. He is studying for his TPI certification and will use this to help golfers understand swing mechanics and aid injury prevention. Sam will also continue junior golf development and growing ladies golf within the club. 

Now a Hale Barns resident, Sam is looking forward to working at one of the premier golf clubs in the region. With his huge passion for golf and over 15 years experience in the game Sam will be delighted to help you improve your game on and off the course. Pilates

Pilates has started and we had 7 keen participants take part with Katie and hopefully they will get as much out of it as I have so far. If you would still like to join in please let me know as there are spaces at 18:00 on a Tuesday and Ladies I'm thinking of a class for you on a Thursday?

Centeredness of Strike
