Team Salt
Team Salt is flying I'm very happy to say, with Gemma Clews winning the Welsh Ladies Amateur Championships and topping the National order of Merit, this is after going unbeaten against Spain with 3.5 points out of four. England was successful in the Seve Trophy, where I also had Louisa Brunt a member at Royal Birkdale playing and she won three out of four matches. It's not just about the Professionals and Internationals, other members of the team are also starting to hit form with scoring records already set and swings feeling smooth. To see the smiles on the faces, whether you're winning an International or breaking 90 for the first time, means so much to me and I regard myself as being very fortunate.
Super Hero Day
We were fortunate enough to play a huge part in making a special super hero day for one poorly little boy even better. Key 103 ran a superhero day all over Manchester and Adam was driven over in a Limousine with his family, whilst his class mates came over on a bus.
Fiona went to a huge amount of effort in arranging the whole day, but especially with turning the card room in a Star Wars themed room. Sam and I did a little bit of coaching and had fun with all the kids, before two helicopters came and landed to fly Adam on to the rest of his adventure.
We had some excellent coverage from local radio, internet and T.V with the course looking fantastic and lots of representation from the members as a collective we should all be very proud and happy.
