Foremost Golf Conference

Last week I attended the Foremost Golf Industry awards seminar, which was a great event where I learnt a lot about customer service and how to display products within the shop. I have made a few changes to the lay out as a result and hope the team can offer you an exceptional level of service going forward!

Ladies Trophy Night

There have been some great occasions recently at the club but on my list of highlights it has to be the Ladies Trophy Night as it was lots of fun and I hope all those that attended weren’t put off too much by my pink tutu! If you are unsure about what I’m talking about there are plenty of videos about or see our very own Cliff Barlow who has been kind enough to stick up pictures around the clubhouse (thanks Cliff, really appreciate that)! There are also some pictures on the ladies page.

Looking forward to Christmas?

On Saturday, 23rd December I will be running a 13-16 hole shotgun start at 9.30am, followed by a prize presentation and a quick bite to eat. We will be in teams of four playing a Texas Scramble 5 club challenge using a mix of tees. Last year we tried to mix up who played with who and a list will go up for you to put your name down along with how many years you have been a member.

Well done ladies...

The Ladies ran a fun event on Tuesday off our Orange tees with 4 clubs and it was most enjoyable which is what golf should be at the this time of year. Well done to all those that took part and for the ladies that organised the event.

Junior sessions

The numbers for our junior sessions on a Saturday at 11.30am are growing week on week and everyone is having a great time. We have had a mix of challenges all suited for any age or ability. Last week we used TrackMan to measure everyone’s driver speed and we have a goal to try and improve on that ready for next season.

The kids loved seeing their swings on camera and how fast they could swing the club. Well done to Alex Stott who was top of the list with 78mph, we have a bit to go before catching up with Jon Rahm though!

Need to be fitted?

Fittings are still taking place right now and only this week we saw the success that the Callaway Epic can bring with its jail break technology. It really allows much more ball speed along with accuracy, not to mention a wide range of shafts to try out. Below is a picture of what it looks like on the inside.
