Who's hair is it?

Well, only one guess needed as to who this is. For anyone that has seen my daughter in racing kit, her favourite colour is PINK and now she has some of hair the same. The only question is, "Will it last to see under her helmet when they are back on the track"!

So this is Jemima, who just loves the water. Thank heavens for some good weather during the lockdown so she can get in the paddling pool. They are all being such good girls at home and everyone is getting on well and making the most of being together.

National Championship Ring

So this time has given me a chance to go through everything and really start to put together my coaching to help everyone when we are back out there.

Here is Charlie taking a great interest in one of my two most hidieous National Championship Rings I won whilst at University in America.

.At the start of the year I did manage to get some golf in which I'm very thankful for. It was a great trip with Mark Wardle, Alan Hough and Martyn Grimley and as you can see it was very serious and Professional.

This time has really made me miss playing and I'm looking forward to playing as much as possible with as many of our members as possible in the future.

Portugal Pro-Am

A great response to start!

Weekly challenge

We want to get as many Ringway Golf Club golfers attempting this week’s challenge as possible! It’s a pretty straightforward one so give it a go and let us know how you get on. Who will be the champion?

What to do

Grab your wedge and a golf ball. Head to the garden or give yourself some space inside the house. Now, try to do as many keepy-ups as possible without the ball touching the ground.

Sounds easy, right?

Get adventurous

If you’re a bit of a show-off, try hitting the ball off your thigh or stopping the ball on your clubface before starting again. You can do this with tennis balls too, or even toilet rolls (apparently).

Golf at home

If any of you are missing golf as much as we are, you’ll be straight onto the course as soon as it’s safe to do so. Well, until that time comes, here’s a little drill for you to try that’ll keep those competitive juices flowing.

The set-up

We’ve used a mug as our makeshift hole, but feel free to use whatever you have lying about the house!

Set your balls down in a straight line from the hole, at one-foot intervals from each other. Starting with the closest, hole each putt without missing. If you miss, go back to the start and try again!

Too easy?

The simplest way to make this drill harder is to increase the distance between each of the balls in your line.

If you’re simply too good and are putting like Tiger, you could try finding a sloping putt or make the target (your makeshift hole) smaller.
