We're following the government's guidelines and best practices from shops across the country to ensure everyone's safety is prioritised.

Pro Shop

I personally can't wait for the 15th when the shop opens up officially and you have the ability to browse the wonderful new ranges this season. Especially with some fabulous colours in the ladies range and a great range from Adidas for the men.

We will have two in the shop at one time with one person able to browse and the other able to grab a quick purchase and check-in for their round.

Getting ready for opening, we have re laid the shop to allow everyone to feel comfortable browsing and more importantly a screen up for any purchases being made.

We hope you feel safe whilst in the shop but if there is anything you think we can do to make your experience better please pass your feedback on to oone of the team.

The coffee machine may not open on the 15th but it won't be far away and when it does we have the perfect flask to keep your coffee warm on the course. Also a free coffee with every purchase.

Here are a couple of lovely bags to keep all your golfing essentials in, With a great range of logo products you will be representing Ringway in fine form.

This season the team are keen for you to looking smart from the ground up, especially with some fantastic footwear that as with everything else, competitively priced. Even with certain shoes and other products cheaper than the internet. With our support and advice, there really isn't a reason to shop else where.

Also with all new pairs of shoes purchased you receive 12mths free cleaning service. Drop your shoes off after the round, let us know the date of your next round and they will be spik and span ready for you to make birdies on the course.

We also offer a club cleaning service at £5 a set.

Shoe Wall

As golfers, we hold etiquette in high regard and one of those areas is leaving the course as you would like to find it. This can't be more important than in the bunkers. How would you like to see your ball lying if unfortunate enough to stray into one?

Well, now we have the solution with your very own rake that clips on to your club.

Available in three colours they are £10 each and do a great job.

It starts with a UK Swing

Since our last newsletter, Rory McIlroy – the number one ranked golfer in the world – has said he “had a hunch” that September’s Ryder Cup will be postponed.

Whilst no decision has been made, the European Tour has confirmed it'll be returning 'behind closed doors' in July. The first event will be the British Masters at Close House; the first of six consecutive tournaments on British soil.

Who knows, maybe by the time the second UK Swing comes around in October – Dunhill Links, Scottish Open and BMW PGA Championship – things may look a little different.

Thoughts for the course

Chipping is a fine art. It requires precision and skill, both of which may need sharpening after a few months away from the golf course. No shame in that! So, here are a couple of points to remember.

Landing Spots

Don’t focus on the hole. Instead, pick out a spot – a patch of grass on the green – to land your ball on. Consider how the slope and speed of the green, the lie of the ball and the club you choose may affect where the ball finishes after landing.

Practise makes perfect

When on the chipping green, place a towel on your landing spot (as seen in the above image) and take aim. As you get the hang of it, you can fold the towel to give yourself a smaller, more challenging target to work with.
