At least we have the Masters this week! I have to say that this is my favourite golfing event of the year to watch, although the Open is the ultimate golfing event. Bryson is getting all the attention after the way he played the US Open and I think he might just do it, but Rory is coming in under the radar and being a new father and the joy that brings he might just do it. The only question will be if his putting can hold under the pressure. It will be a strange one though without the patrons there and the energy they bring. I'm still coming into the shop and having a good sort out as well as planning for Christmas and next year. Vouchers will be ready to order from next week and we have some wonderful Galvin Green logo'd items, including RGC waterproofs. On a coaching front, I'm investigating how the cerebellum can be trained and worked into performing better for both practice and play, alongside learning a new move in your swing. If anyone has any information on this area of the brain I would love to hear your thoughts. This downtime gives a lot of time to think about how I can personally develop as well as the team in the Professional Shop. If there is an area that you think we are under par and could improve I would be all ears. If you would like to stay anonymous please drop a written note through the letterbox to the clubhouse. Enjoy the Masters and Wriggers Rules this week.
